**Motorway Police Book 54 Drivers for Overspeeding**

The Motorway police have taken a firm stance against excessive speeding, registering FIRs and arresting 54 drivers who exceeded the speed limit of 150 km/h across various motorways in the Central Region.

A Motorway Police spokesperson reported that the crackdown occurred on several major routes, including the M2 (Lahore-Islamabad), M3 (Lahore-Multan), M4 (Multan-Pindi Bhattian), M5 (Sukkur-Multan), and the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway.

Breaking down the numbers, four cases were registered on the Lahore-Sialkot Motorway, while nineteen FIRs were filed on the M2. The M3 saw five cases lodged, and the M4 had six FIRs registered. The M5 Motorway had the highest number of offenders, with twenty arrests made.

The Motorway police are reminding all drivers that speed limits are in place for safety. On three-lane motorways, the maximum speed for private vehicles is 120 km/h, and for public transport, it is 110 km/h.
