**Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Orders Intensified Crackdown on Human Traffickers**
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has commended officials from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) for their success in apprehending the notorious leader of the Jajja gang, a criminal organization involved in human trafficking.
During a meeting with officials in Islamabad on Sunday, the Prime Minister directed authorities to further intensify operations against human traffickers.
PM Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that those involved in the heinous crime of human trafficking not only cause the tragic loss of precious lives but also tarnish the country’s image on the global stage.
He awarded a cash prize of one million rupees each to the officials who participated in the operation against the gang.
The apprehended Jajja gang leader, Usman Jajja, is considered a key figure responsible for the deaths of Pakistanis in the Greece boat accident last year.
During the meeting, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry and the Secretary of the Interior briefed the Prime Minister on the agencies’ performance.
The Director Generals of the FIA and IB also provided updates on the arrests of gang leaders, operators, and facilitators involved in human trafficking.
