**Sindh High Court Summons Director FIA in Case of Missing Citizen**
The Sindh High Court (SHC) has summoned the Director of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in a hearing concerning the recovery of a missing citizen, Sardar Mohammad Asif. The Director FIA, along with SSP CTD and SSP Malir, failed to appear before the court.
A Focal Person for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) informed the court that the SSP CTD was out of the country on an Umrah pilgrimage.
The petitioner’s lawyer requested the court to summon reports from both the Director FIA and the SSP CTD. The lawyer stated that the missing person had previously disappeared and, after being recovered, has gone missing again. A kidnapping case has been registered against unknown individuals.
The court has issued a restraining order preventing the deportation of the missing person.
The lawyer further explained that the citizen is alleged to be an Afghan national, despite a decision by the Afghanistan Supreme Court declaring that he is not an Afghan citizen. He was allegedly kidnapped from the jurisdiction of the Sachal police station on December 17, 2024.
The court summoned the Director FIA for the next hearing, adjourning the case until April 16. Additionally, the court issued notices regarding the blocking of national identity cards belonging to the missing citizen’s family.
