Karachi Child Kidnapping Surge: Another Boy Missing, Fears Mount

**Another Child ‘Kidnapped’ in Karachi**

A frightening new case of a potentially kidnapped child has emerged in Karachi. 11-year-old Muhammad Zain went missing from the Gulistan-e-Johar area on March 18th. Police have confirmed that a case is registered at the Malir Cantt police station, and an investigation is underway. Zain’s family believes he was kidnapped and taken to an unknown location.

This incident adds to growing concerns about child kidnappings in Karachi. In January, two other boys, Aliyan and Ali Raza, disappeared from the Garden area. A large-scale search operation was launched, but the boys have yet to be found.

Karachi Police have stated they are intensifying their search efforts, but there has been no progress in locating Aliyan and Ali Raza. The search has included visits to the Daata Darbar shrine and the posting of missing children posters throughout the city. A cash reward has also been offered for information leading to the children’s whereabouts.

Ali Raza and Aliyan Muhammad were reported missing on January 14.

Previously, DIG South Asad Raza established a five-member committee, led by the SSP City, to focus on the recovery of missing children. The committee includes the SP Investigation City. Despite assurances that all possible efforts are being made, and the imprisonment of three suspects, the children remain missing.

These disappearances follow the tragic case of Sarim, a seven-year-old boy, who was found dead in an underground water tank near his home in North Karachi. He had been missing for 11 days after failing to return from a nearby madrasa on January 7.
