A newborn baby has been recovered by police in Tando Muhammad Khan after the child’s father allegedly sold him for 50,000 rupees.
Reports indicate that CCTV footage played a crucial role in identifying the individual who received the child from the father. The father, identified as Sohail Palijo, reportedly confessed to handing over the infant to a man named Ghulam Haider in exchange for the money. Both Palijo and Haider were detained by police. Haider then informed police that he subsequently gave the child to another person in Hyderabad.
The newborn’s mother had previously told police that the hospital demanded payment of their bill. She claimed her husband borrowed money and gave the baby to the lender.
Police successfully recovered the child and reunited him with his mother.
The hospital management stated that the parents had initially paid Rs. 10,000 towards the bill, but this amount has since been returned to them.
