**CTD Apprehends Two Terrorists in Rawalpindi**

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted a successful operation in Rawalpindi, arresting two terrorists linked to the banned group Fitanah al-Khawarij, ARY News reports.

The suspects, identified as Hamza and Roman, were reportedly involved in a grenade attack on the I-9 police station.

The CTD recovered explosives, detonators, safety fuses, and other materials from the arrested individuals. Initial investigations suggest the suspects had connections with a key commander of Fitanah al-Khawarij in Afghanistan.

A case has been registered against the terrorists, and further investigations are underway.

Earlier incident, at least three were killed and nine others injured in a firing incident in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Police officials report that the Aman (Peace) committee office in the Uthman Zai police station jurisdiction was attacked. Eight attackers were also injured when Aman Committee members retaliated.

On December 27, two assailants were killed in an exchange of gunfire with police in Bannu district.

Police identified the killed militants as brothers Ajmer and Bhutto. On December 25, a militant attack in Bannu resulted in the death of one police officer.
