# Sindh Announces Eidul Fitr 2025 Holidays
The Sindh government has announced holidays for Eidul Fitr 2025. According to a notification from the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, the holidays will be observed from Monday, March 31st, to Wednesday, April 2nd.
The Federal government also announced a three day holiday.
Eidul Fitr 2025 is expected to be celebrated across Pakistan on Monday, March 31, 2025, after the completion of 29 days of Ramadan.
The Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council anticipates the Shawwal crescent will be visible on the evening of Sunday, March 30th, assuming clear weather.
Khalid Ijaz Mufti, Secretary General of the council, noted that the new moon will be born on Saturday, March 29, at 3:58 PM Pakistan time. By sunset on Sunday, the moon’s age will be over 26 hours, making it visible to the naked eye.
Mufti explained the sighting criteria: the moon must be at least 18 hours old at sunset, a condition easily met in this case. The time difference between sunset and moonset, crucial for visibility, will also surpass the minimum 40-minute threshold across various cities.
Given these favorable conditions, the council expects no issues in confirming the crescent sighting, leading to Eid celebrations on March 31st.
