**Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) Leaders Face Incitement of Violence Charges in Quetta**
QUETTA: Police have filed an FIR (First Information Report) against leaders and armed members of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) for allegedly inciting violence, attacking hospitals and officials, and staging violent protests.
According to the Quetta commissioner’s office, the BYC held a protest on March 21, calling for the return of the bodies of individuals killed during the Jaffar Express operation.
The demonstration reportedly escalated into violence, with protesters and their armed associates allegedly opening fire and throwing stones at police. This resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including an Afghan citizen.
Authorities had requested the BYC to hand over the bodies for identification of those responsible, but BYC leaders purportedly refused, allegedly aware of their own involvement in the killings.
Subsequently, at the request of the deceased’s families, police retrieved the bodies from the BYC’s possession and returned them to the families.
