**Watch: Robbers Loot Citizens in Broad Daylight in Karachi’s Jauhar**
A shocking video has emerged showing a daylight robbery in Karachi’s Gulistan-e-Johar area. The footage captures two men on a motorcycle snatching mobile phones from youngsters sitting outside a shop, highlighting the disturbing rise in street crime in the city.
The incident reportedly happened just minutes before Iftar, adding to the growing concerns about robberies during the holy month of Ramadan. The CCTV video clearly shows the robbers making a swift escape after taking the phones. Police have confirmed an investigation is underway.
This brazen act is, unfortunately, not an isolated case. Karachi has seen a surge in daylight robberies and looting incidents, particularly during Ramadan.

The problem of criminals impersonating law enforcement is also on display. Recently, Karachi police busted a gang of dacoits who committed multiple robberies while posing as police officers.
Acting on a tip-off, Korangi police arrested five suspects, seizing police uniforms and weapons. The suspects—identified as Ali Imran Sheikh, Waqar, Aneel, Dheeraj, and Farzoq Shah—confessed to numerous dacoities across Karachi.
According to SSP Korangi Tariq Nawaz, the gang used police uniforms and wireless sets to deceptively gain entry into homes. This incident followed a simliar one in October, last year, where foreigners from poland were robbed at gunpoint by criminals desguised as police.
