**Armaghan’s Father, Kamran Qureshi, Arrested; Weapon and Drugs Recovered**

The Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) in Karachi has arrested Kamran Qureshi, father of Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case. The arrest occurred during a raid in the Khayaban-e-Momin Gizri area.

Authorities report that Kamran Qureshi was found in possession of 200 grams of narcotics, a pistol, a magazine, and bullets. A case has been registered against him, and further investigation is underway.

Earlier, Kamran Qureshi was ejected from the courtroom following a heated argument with his son during a hearing in the Mustafa Amir murder case at the Anti-Terrorism Court. The dispute arose when Armaghan’s lawyer denied representing him, and Armaghan stated he had no relationship with his father. The situation escalated, leading to Kamran Qureshi’s removal from the courtroom.

The court has extended Armaghan’s physical remand until March 24 in both the Mustafa Amir murder case and a journalist firing case. A progress report has been summoned for the next hearing date.

Previously, Karachi ATC included Armaghan’s confessional statement in the prosecution file. In his statement, Armaghan revealed that he had been living alone in a rented bungalow in Defence for two years, operating a call center. He also disclosed a 2019 arrest for attempting to smuggle weed from Canada and admitted to facing multiple cases in various Karachi police stations.

The Mustafa Amir murder case investigation has expanded, with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) probing funds related to the accused and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ASF) investigating Armaghan’s alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade.

Mustafa Amir was reportedly kidnapped and murdered by his friends in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on January 6th. His body was found in the trunk of his burnt car.
