**KP Police Thwart Terrorist Attack in Lakki Marwat**

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police successfully prevented a terrorist attack on a police station in Lakki Marwat on Saturday.

The incident took place at the Pezo police station in Lakki Marwat, where terrorists launched an assault. Police personnel effectively repelled the attack, forcing the attackers to flee. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

This marks the second attack on the same Lakhani border post near the KP border within 24 hours, and the third major assault in a week. The attack involved approximately 20 to 25 heavily armed terrorists equipped with rocket launchers and advanced weaponry.

Police were able to detect the terrorists in advance using thermal imaging cameras, allowing for a swift and effective response. The terrorists were forced to retreat and reportedly sustained heavy casualties.

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Capt (R) Sajjad Hassan Khan led the operation, with District Police Officer (DPO) Syed Ali commanding the Quick Response Force (QRF) teams.
