Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the nation to rekindle the spirit of the Pakistan Movement to achieve the dream of a peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.
In a video message commemorating Pakistan Day, the Prime Minister highlighted the country’s ongoing journey towards progress. He pointed out that institutional reforms are in motion, and economic stability has been secured through dedicated efforts.
Sharif also commended the nation’s security forces and law enforcement agencies for their steadfast commitment in the fight against terrorism.
He called upon the people to embrace hard work and dedication, guided by Quaid-e-Azam’s principles of unity, faith, and discipline, to propel the country towards development.
Pakistan Day is being celebrated nationwide with a renewed commitment to transform the country into an Islamic and welfare state, as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The day marks the anniversary of the historic Lahore Resolution, passed on March 23, 1940, which charted the course for a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent.
The day began with a thirty-one-gun salute in the federal capital and twenty-one-gun salutes in the provincial capitals. Special prayers for the nation’s progress and prosperity were offered in mosques after Fajr prayers.
