**FO Responds to Pakistani Journalists’ Visit to Israel**
The Pakistani government has addressed recent reports concerning Pakistani journalists traveling to Israel.
Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan clarified the situation, noting that Pakistani passports are explicitly marked as invalid for travel to Israel. Thus, any such visit would be in violation of existing regulations.
The spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast position on Israel: Pakistan does not recognize Israel.
Pakistan continues to express unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. This includes the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.
The Foreign Office further emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to a just and peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue, in accordance with relevant UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Palestinian people.
The reported visit has caused considerable controversy within Pakistan.
Separately, reports have emerged regarding an incident in the occupied West Bank. Yuval Abraham, co-director of the Oscar-winning documentary “No Other Land,” reported that his Palestinian co-director, Basel Adra, was attacked by settlers and subsequently arrested by the Israeli army.
According to Abraham’s post on X, settlers beat Adra and he have some Injuries. When he called the ambulance, soldiers invated the car and took him. He added that there no sign of him since. The incident reportedly occurred in the village of Susiya. Anti-occupation NGO, Center for Jewish Nonviolence, claim to have filmed the events,.
The Israeli army stated it was verifying the information.
The West Bank has been under Israeli occupation since 1967.
