**ISLAMABAD:** A crucial meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security is scheduled for Tuesday (tomorrow) at 11:00 AM.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, convened the session at the request of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The in-camera meeting will feature a briefing from military leadership on the current security situation, with a particular focus on Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

Attendees will include members of the parliamentary committee, relevant federal cabinet members, and leaders (or their representatives) from all parliamentary parties. The meeting will take place at the National Assembly Hall.

Military officials will present a detailed briefing on the rise in terrorism in KP and Balochistan, exploring the factors contributing to the recent surge in incidents.

The decision to convene this high-level security discussion follows a recent increase in terrorist attacks targeting security forces in both provinces.

A spokesperson for the National Assembly Secretariat clarified that the meeting, initially scheduled for 1:30 PM, was moved to 11:00 AM due to Ramadan.
