**PM to Announce Relief in Power Tariff, Taxes for Businesses: Haroon Akhtar**
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Haroon Akhtar Khan, has pledged to revitalize the nation’s industries and restore the industrial sector.
In a recent meeting, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Industries and Production stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will soon announce relief measures for the business community, specifically targeting power tariffs and taxes.
“A package will be introduced to revive sick industrial units,” he announced, emphasizing that the revival of these units would create employment opportunities.
The special assistant also mentioned that the Finance Minister has assured relief in the export refinance scheme. Furthermore, plans are in place to address irregularities in the tax system.
Akhtar highlighted that his efforts would also concentrate on improving access to credit and long-term financing options for businesses.
He also stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has praised several government initiatives implemented over the past year.
