Punjab Hospital Horror: Sweeper Performs Surgery on Patients Due to Doctor Shortage

**Shocking Video Shows Sweeper Treating Patients at a Hospital in Punjab**

A disturbing video out of Pattoki Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Punjab has sparked outrage and exposed a severe crisis in the region’s healthcare system. The footage, [originally reported by ARY News](https://arynews.tv/wp-content/uploads/2025/03/pattoki.jpg), shows a hospital sweeper, identified as Abid, performing medical procedures typically reserved for trained professionals.

In the shocking video, Abid is seen stitching wounds and dressing injuries on a female patient. This blatant disregard for patient safety and proper medical protocol is a direct result of the reported absence of qualified medical staff in the hospital’s emergency department.

A [YouTube video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lH5SkTkY8vI) further highlights the dire situation, showing the sweeper attending.

Citizens are rightfully furious. Reports indicate a critical shortage of medicines and the routine absence of emergency staff at Pattoki Hospital. Despite receiving significant funding, the hospital is allegedly underequipped and poorly managed, leading to accusations of corruption.

The pressure is mounting on the Punjab government to take swift action. Residents are demanding that Chief Minister Punjab immediately address the situation, investigate the circumstances that led to this gross negligence, and hold those responsible accountable.

This incident follows another horrific case of medical negligence. Previously, an infant girl suffered severe burns in Gangaram Hospital in Lahore.
The baby had been in an incubator, but the temperature raised and burned the baby because the hospital staff neglected their job.
The infant’s father says the the hospital staff were rude and kicked him from the nursey.
The father is appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for an investigation, and for the hosptial staff to be brough to justice.

In 2023, a similar tragedy at Lahore’s Children’s Hospital claimed the life of an infant was burned to dead after it had overheated. The doctors, nurses and staff, were negligible.
