**Security Forces Foil Two Terror Attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**
Pakistan’s security forces successfully prevented two separate terror attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), forcing the attackers to retreat after a rapid and effective response, ARY News reported on Monday.
In the first incident, militants attacked the Khyber Jamrud Bypass checkpoint. However, security forces responded swiftly, causing the attackers to flee, reportedly injured. Two soldiers were also injured during the exchange of fire and were taken to the hospital. A search operation is ongoing in the area.
Separately, terrorists targeted the Gambila police station in Lakki Marwat. Police responded with strong resistance, and the assailants fled without causing any casualties.
These incidents follow attacks just a day earlier in Karak and Peshawar, where a security guard and a sub-inspector were martyred in attacks on police stations, a checkpoint, and a Sui gas office.
In Balochistan, the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for a suicide attack targeting a Frontier Corps convoy on the Naushki-Dalbandin Highway. This attack resulted in the martyrdom of three FC personnel and three civilians, with several others injured.
A meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security has been scheduled for Tuesday morning. The military leadership will provide an in-camera briefing on the current security situation in Balochistan and KP. Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq called the session on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
